The Town of Clifton Park is located in Southern Saratoga County and is almost equidistant from Albany, Schenectady, Troy and Saratoga Springs.  Clifton Park is noted for its favorable tax rates, easy access to the Adirondack Northway, favorable housing values and its notoriety as the fastest growing area in the Capital District. 

Clifton Park is one of the most popular residential areas - particularly for families transferring to the Capital District.  Clifton Park residents have the highest per capita income of any area town.

Recreation

Clifton Park is adjacent to many beautiful rural areas with farms and orchards.  The country is in Clifton Park's back yard.  You can enjoy picking apples, touring farms, nature walks, or cross country skiing along the Mohawk River and the Vischer Ferry Nature Preserve, or going for a Sunday drive or bike ride.

A newer YMCA (see photos under sports and recreation) has an indoor pool, many weight and aerobic training machines and equipment, indoor track, adult and children basketball leagues, aerobic classes, ballroom dancing, and FREE child care while you are at the facility, as well as a teen night every Saturday night.  This is a great facility!

There are excellent public pools, golf courses and tennis courts.  The Edison Club is a private golf/tennis club located in Rexford, adjacent to Clifton Park (5-10min.).  It has a beautiful 27-hole Championship Golf Course and some of the areas best red clay tennis courts.  The club has an Olympic-size pool and swim team.  Indoor tennis is 10 minutes away in Latham at the Tri-City Racket Club.  The 6-million acre Adirondack State Park with its many beautiful lakes, mountains and hiking trails, is a pleasant drive north to Warren County.

Schools

The Shenendehowa School District serves the town's residents.  This system is unique in that it utilizes a campus-style arrangement for most of its schools. Four of the six elementary schools are located on the campus, as well as the middle schools and high school. The school district is the area's largest in terms of student population and geographic size, providing a wide diversity of programs in all subject areas and having some of the finest sports teams of the area schools. Some areas of Burnt Hills and Jonesville are served by Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake School District; and much of Malta is served by Ballston Spa School District.

Shopping

The Clifton Park Center Mall is a large regional facility with nearly one hundred stores and a movie theatre.  There are two smaller malls offering a variety of specialty shops including Marshalls and TJ Maxx.  Clifton Park is approximately a 15-minute drive to the area's largest mall, Crossgates Mall.
